Overview

The Fort Bend County Animal Services Shelter has a number of dog, cats, puppies and kittens that need a good home. The majority of these animals have been abandoned by the owners on the side of the road, in fields or even a ditch. Please help give a pet a loving home. Fort Bend Animal Services can only keep unclaimed cats and dogs for a period of three days or 72 hours. To locate your lost pet, owners should contact all area animal shelters immediately.

– All dogs and cats are required to be registered and licensed with Fort Bend County Animal Services. All licenses are for 1 year only and must be renewed annually.

– Leash laws are in place for both cats & dogs in the county and must be restrained according to the Fort Bend County Animal Control Regulations, Section III.

– Volunteers wanted and appreciated.

i found myself going to the FBCAS almost daily with my friend who was looking at numerous dogs to possibly adopt. Keeping their website on my computer did I find (on 5 January 2016) the newest “love of my life”. He was listed as a Chahuahua but is certainly not. His DNA will be checked in February to see exactly what breed Newton (my three month old bundle of joy\boy) actually is. Does not matter to me as Newton is the sweetest, happiest, joyful. playful newest addition to our home. He even is able to chase the cats around the house all of which find him “interesting”. Newton is 3 months old, such a spiritual addition here, and has truly found his forever home. He was originally adopted then returned. Their loss our gain. Thanks so much for the works you do there at the FBCAS to save and rehome so many pets. P.S.: my friend still has not adopted but she did me a HUGE favor by introducing me to the FBCAS.
